Offering tailor-made, interactive cooking classes hosted by real chefs using only the freshest ingredients, the Auckland Seafood School is the perfect place for your group celebrations or team building events.
We have capacity for up to 90, offer non-seafood options and have a range of event formats for you to choose from. We can also tailor an event just for you.
Following a quick presentation by Chef, teams must go on to design, create, cook and present their own recipes from the Mystery Box ingredients.
This high energy team building challenge is fun and is guaranteed to get people talking. With no recipes, teams must think on their feet and work together to decide what they will be creating. Chef will be on hand to provide culinary advice and to judge your team’s creation and decide on the ultimate mystery box winner.

Since inception the Seafood School has enjoyed a great relationship with some of New Zealand’s wonderfully talented chefs such as Ray McVinnie, Julie le Clerc, Peta Mathias, Mark Southon and Brett McGregor, to name a few.
Plenty of interaction throughout the experience – the best team will be judged by New Zealand’s finest.
As a guide, pricing starts from $80 per person, however we will put together a tailored package based on the size & format of your event and your menu selection.
A flat rate applies for groups of up to 16 participants and a group discount applies for teams over 30. Please get in touch with Lynne to discuss options designed especially for your team.
