Spice Journey – Korea

Korean seafood is prepared in many different ways, boiled, braised, roasted, grilled, dried, fermented and raw, the flavours commonly used are garlic, ginger, sesame oil, doenjang (fermented bean paste) and gochujang (fermented red chilli paste) and kimchi, on the menu tonight are two favourite Korean seafood recipes . Tonight make Ojingeo Muchim (Spicy squid salad) and Seafood kimchi soup.

Complimentary beverage on arrival.

Bar open from 5.30pm.  Class starts promptly at 6pm

Paulie Hooton

The Seafood School’s head chef, Paulie Hooton, has more than 25 years’ experience working in some of New Zealand’s most iconic restaurants. Before joining the Seafood School in 2017, he was Head Chef at the award winning The Oyster Inn on Waiheke Island.
