Seafood Markets – From Shop to Plate – Prawns, Prawns, Prawns

In today’s class visit the Auckland fish market floor with chef to choose your selected species, then return to the Seafood School with your catch where chef will share with you tips and tricks and a delicious recipe to follow as you cook your lunch in the hands on classroom . Today prepare King prawn tacos with pineapple and coriander salsa and chipotle cream.

Take home $10 market money from Sanford and Sons to spend on your next seafood purchase at Auckland Fish Market.

Enjoy a complementary beverage during hands on cooking

Paulie Hooton

The Seafood School’s head chef, Paulie Hooton, has more than 25 years’ experience working in some of New Zealand’s most iconic restaurants. Before joining the Seafood School in 2017, he was Head Chef at the award winning The Oyster Inn on Waiheke Island.
