HAWKER STYLE VIETNAMESE STREET FOOD

2½ hr class.  Completely ‘on trend’, Street food has exploded in recent years. Learn how to make your favourite international dishes at home for you and your friends to enjoy. In this stunning seafood class, learn to blend lemongrass, ginger, mint, coriander and chilli to create combinations that will excite the taste buds!  Enjoy a chilled glass of wine or beer to compliment your meal and complete the evening with a sweet and refreshing Vietnamese dessert.  Tonight you will be cooking – Banhxeo – crispy pancakes filled with pork,  prawns and beanshoots PLUS Vietnamese caramel market fresh fish with choy sum.  Finish with a popular Vietnamese dessert -  fried bananas with coconut ice cream.

Complimentary beverage on arrival.

Bar open from 6pm onwards.  Class starts promptly at 6pm.

The Seafood School’s head chef, Paulie Hooton, has more than 25 years’ experience working in some of New Zealand’s most iconic restaurants. Before joining the Seafood School, he was most recently Head Chef at the award winning The Oyster Inn on Waiheke Island.

Was a little nervous about the whole ‘cooking thing’ however the chef and the people I cooked with made things a breeze – plus heaps of fun.
