HAWAIIAN POKE BOWLS

2½ hour class.  Poke, the popular Hawaiian snack of raw fish seasoned with soy & sesame oil.  Poke is available everywhere, from food trucks to restaurants of local chefs.  Tonight you will learn traditional, modern and other styles of Poke, from classic Shoyu ‘Ahi’ the traditional Hawaiian dish of raw fish seasoned with soy and sesame oil followed by salmon, edamame and spring onion Poke PLUS a prawn, sweet potato, avocado and cucumber Poke

Complimentary beverage on arrival.

Bar open from 6pm.  Class starts promptly at 6.30pm.

Paulie Hooton

The Seafood School’s head chef, Paulie Hooton, has more than 25 years’ experience working in some of New Zealand’s most iconic restaurants. Before joining the Seafood School, he was most recently Head Chef at the award winning The Oyster Inn on Waiheke Island.
