GUEST CHEF – Mark Southon – O’Connell Street Bistro

Auckland’s vibrant and buzzing restaurant scene continues to be inspired by passionate foodies and chefs alike.  Tonight we introduce you to one of those chefs making his mark in the industry.  Mark Southon is a NZ celebrity chef and television personality. Mark is the executive chef at O’Connell St Bistro in Auckland and has recently published his own cookbook – Southon Cooking, which will be available to purchase a signed copy on the night.  Tonight you will be cooking a delicious and fragrant Thai monkfish curry with a coconut rice.  Followed by roast market fresh fish with a cauliflower couscous, corn, prawns and Romesco sauce.

Complimentary Beverage on arrival.

Bar open from 5.30pm.  Class starts promptly at 6pm.

Was a little nervous about the whole ‘cooking thing’ however the chef and the people I cooked with made things a breeze – plus heaps of fun.
