GREAT NZ BBQ – SURF AND TURF

Celebrate the great combination of pairing seafood and meat together and the cooking technique of the BBQ. It’s a curious combination that sprung from America’s fascination with “Continental cuisine” in the 60′s. This evening you will cook 2 delicious recipes and then sit down to enjoy the wonderful flavours of the “Surf and the Turf’. In today’s class the chef will be making Chorizo and prawn tacos, pickled onions and coriander with avocado cream and Scotch fillet with oyster rockefeller.

Complimentary beverage on arrival.

Bar open from 2.30pm. Class starts promptly at 3pm.

Paulie Hooton

The Seafood School’s head chef, Paulie Hooton, has more than 25 years’ experience working in some of New Zealand’s most iconic restaurants. Before joining the Seafood School in 2017, he was Head Chef at the award winning The Oyster Inn on Waiheke Island.
