RESTAURANT OF THE MONTH – Guest Chef – Luca Villari, Al Volo Pizzeria

2½ hour class.  Auckland’s vibrant and buzzing restaurant scene continues to be inspired by passionate foodies and chefs alike.  Tonight we introduce Luca Villari  one of those chefs making his mark in the industry. Trained locally in New Zealand he was in the kitchen at CinCin for 7 years then worked in Melbourne for a period at The Point, Albert Park. He  then returned to Auckland as Head Chef at Wildfire. After that headed up the kitchen at Dawsons Catering.  He now currently owns  Al Volo Neapolitan Woodfired Pizzeria, Mt Eden, he does catering with Deluxe Events, a writer for Taste Magazine and food styler.

 

Complimentary Beverage on arrival.

Bar open from 5.30pm.  Class starts promptly at 6pm.

Was a little nervous about the whole ‘cooking thing’ however the chef and the people I cooked with made things a breeze – plus heaps of fun.
