Festive Cocktails and Canapes

Finger Food and canapes are perfect for end of year celebrations, light meals and relaxed summer holiday evenings.  Tonight your chef will guide you with some fabulous seafood canape ideas and recipes to help plan your special seasonal events.  Following a short demo by chef head you’ll head through to the kitchen and chef will be on hand to help you work through the recipes.  Tonight you will be cooking Tarakihi ceviche, miso mayonnaise lettuce cups, followed by whipped trevally, pickled red onions, crostini PLUS cured salmon blini, wasabi crème and fresh dill.

Complimentary Cocktail (or beverage of your choice) on arrival. Bar open from 5.30pm.  Class starts promptly at 6pm.

Paulie Hooton

The Seafood School’s head chef, Paulie Hooton, has more than 25 years’ experience working in some of New Zealand’s most iconic restaurants. Before joining the Seafood School in 2017, he was Head Chef at the award winning The Oyster Inn on Waiheke Island.

Was a little nervous about the whole ‘cooking thing’ however the chef and the people I cooked with made things a breeze – plus heaps of fun.
